The President’s Economic Award is the most prestigious distinction for Polish enterprises, research institutes and inventors.

This year, its fifteenth edition was held, and the award ceremony took place for the second time during the 509 Congress in Jasionka near Rzeszów.

150 companies were submitted for the award in 6 categories: Small and Medium Enterprises, National Success, International Success, Responsible Business, Best Polish Start Up and Research and Development.

WUZETEM was submitted by the Industrial Development Agency S.A., in whose capital portfolio the company is located. Marcin Chludziński, President of the Management Board of the Industrial Development Agency said:

– “WUZETEM” is gradually strengthening its  position on the markets of world leaders, as much as 70 percent of the production of the Warsaw plants goes to the United States. The example of this brand shows that the Polish automotive industry  is going from strength to strength. I am glad that the Industrial Development Agency has its share in this, and that the prestigious President’s Award has just gone to a company from our group. This shows that, contrary to popular belief, we can compete effectively in the automotive industry, and the time of cheap assembly plants is over

The President of the Republic of Poland appreciated WUZETEM as a showcase of the Polish automotive industry, operating for over 66 years, the only factory of this type in Poland and one of the few in the world.

The award was presented by the President of the Republic of Poland to Joanna Szwajkowska, President of the Company’s Management Board, who said:

“The President’s Award is a great honour and motivation for further activities. The prestigious “National Success” award is primarily the result of the hard work of all employees, but also the commitment of the Industrial Development Agency, which sees and actively supports  development of our company.

As stated by the Chairman of the President’s Award Committee, Prof. Krzysztof Opolski :

“It is a great pride to have such entrepreneurs who are very enthusiastic about creating a new, sustainable economy.

The President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, in his thanks to the winners and laureates, announced:

We want Poland to be reckoned with in the international arena. We want our potential to function in the international space, including the economic one, these are our entrepreneurs who have this potential and compete with the best.
